Alex was the first person who helped care for us when we arrived in Uganda. He was very young and spoke no English. I came to love Alex very deeply, like I do my own children. He even came to call me Mommy when speaking to me.
Alex has completed entry level courses and does engine repair for automobiles, without having ever received beyond a first grade education or even being able to write his name. He is now working to help us in providing for the rest of the family.
Alex is a true success story. He shares all of the income he is making from his job with Obed’s family to feed them, as we continue to work on his education. Alex is deeply committed to the village where he lives, and is working with us to improve the school as well as water well access for the community. By helping us support Alex you are helping us change a village. You can learn more about Alex here.
